The Salvation Army of Petoskey is also celebrating its 125th anniversary this summer.
“Christmas in July is not only an opportunity to give — it’s a reminder that families in our community need help all year long,” said Major Brian Reed in a release. “With the rising cost of food and essential household expenses, we are seeing a record number of individuals and families seeking assistance. The increased need is coming at a time when donations are declining, creating an unsustainable deficit that may eventually result in many families going without critical needs.”
Donations can also be made at SAPetoskey.org or mailed to The Salvation Army of Petoskey, 2350 Mitchell Park Drive Petoskey, MI 49770.
