A seasonal business is back for the summer with a bang thanks to their popular, limited-time Faygo treat.
Rock & Rye soft serve is available at Dairy Whip in Redford Township for one week only, now through Sunday. The ice cream stand that serves malts, milkshakes, sundaes, cones and more reopened for the year on May 1.
“It’s back! Come try this Michigan pop favorite in soft-serve version,” reads a post from Dairy Whip on social media. They encourage customers to try it on its own or twisted with vanilla soft serve. By itself, the house-made Rock & Rye soft serve is vegan and dairy-free.
Faygo is often found mixed in cocktails and other beverages around Metro Detroit, and Browndog Creamery also makes a line of ice cream infused with Faygo flavors. The Rock & Rye soft serve at Dairy Whip is only available one week a year, however, so crowds and long lines are expected.
Dairy Whip is open 1-10 p.m. daily at 26215 Plymouth in Redford Township.
