LANSING — An imminent ramp closure at the Lake Lansing Road interchange was noted in a U.S. 127 construction update from the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The ramp from northbound U.S. 127 to Lake Lansing Road will be closed for reconstruction from Monday, June 22 to Monday, July 27, the agency said in a June 18 news release. Drivers will be directed to use the Saginaw Street exit (Exit 78), go east on M-43 and then north on Coolidge Road to get to Lake Lansing Road.
MDOT is repaving U.S. 127 between Interstate 69 and Lake Lansing Road this year.
Also, from Friday, June 19 to Tuesday, June 23, the U.S. 127 ramps to Interstates 96 and 496, Dunckel Road and Trowbridge Road will be closed intermittently for “final pavement marking,” MDOT said. Intermittent lane closures on both sides of the freeway also are planned during that time.
