LANSING — Pride Month in Lansing officially kicked off on June 1 with a Pride flag raising at Lansing City Hall.
Mayor Andy Schor, other city officials, members of the Lansing Pride Board and LGBTA+ community members, activists and allies were present for a noon ceremony.
Other Pride events scheduled for this month include the following:
June 6: Meridian Township’s annual Pride event will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Marketplace on the Green Pavilion, 1995 Central Park Drive, in Okemos. The event will aim to unite LGBTQ+ members, allies, and organizations to celebrate the Meridian community.
June 7 through June 13: Customers at Schuler Books at Meridian Mall in Meridian Township can tell team member at checkout that they’d like their purchase to be part of the Lansing Pride Fundraiser, and 20% of the purchase will go towards “ensuring that Lansing Pride is free and accessible to all.”
June 13: East Lansing PRIDE will happen from 4 to 9 p.m. along Albert Avenue between Abbot Road and M.A.C. Avenue. Vendors, live music, a drag show and storytime and community art activities will be part of the celebration.
June 13 and 14: Pride on the Farm will happen at Wildflower Wives Acres, 2276 S. Stine Road, in Charlotte. Vendors, food, live performances a petting zoo and more are planned from noon to 8 p.m. June 13 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 14.
June 20: BAD Brewing Company and The Equity Taskforce are hosting a 5 to 8 p.m. drag show to raise money for the Lansing-based Salus Center that supports the region’s LGBTQ+ community. A $35 ticket is required for the event at BAD Brewing, 440 S. Jefferson St., in Mason.
June 21: CommUNITY: Pride in the Park is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. in St. Johns City Park, 805 W. Park St. The spirit of the S-J Call-In Coalition event is intended to be one of pride, community and celebration for everyone
June 26: A Lansing Pride White Party will run from 8 p.m. to midnight in Old Town. Wristbands will be sold for $10 at participating locations and a wristband gives participants access at all venues.
June 27: Lansing Pride Festival 2026: Love Out Loud will happen in Lansing’s Old Town from 1 to 9 p.m. with special guest Trinity the Truck, a celebrated drag queen, television personality and recording artist. The event will feature a full day of drag, music and live entertainment. There also will be family-friendly activiites and more than 300 vendors, showcasing local businesses, artists, nonprofits and community organizations from across the region.
June 28: DeWitt Pride is hosting Pride in the Park, with games, activities and snacks from noon to 3 p.m. at Riverside Park, 405 S. Bridge St.
June 28: The Mason Pride Picnic will happen from noon to 3 p.m. at Rayner Park, 738 E. Ash St., in Mason. The fun will include food trucks, yard games, face painting, a magic show, live music, resource tables, community art and more.
