Lansing Christian had four golfers finish in the top 10 while capturing a regional title Wednesday, May 27..
The Pilgrims finished with a team score of 309 and were 27 strokes ahead of runner-up Springport.
Maddox Mosley finished as the regional medalist by shooting a 73 to lead Lansing Christian. Nic Korrey was third with a round of 75, while Cooper Resch placed sventh and Ben Rottman was eighth.
Portland St. Patrick’s Brody Beckhold also qualified for the state finals as an individual. He had a round of 83 while placing ninth individually.
BASEBALL
EASTERN 18, EVERETT 7 / EASTERN 12, EVERETT 8
Wylie Scott went 3-for-3 with three RBI in the opener, while Alejandro Eno, Manny Hernandez and Jordan Castellano each had two RBI in the finale for the Quakers in their nonleague doubleheader sweep of Everett.
PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 6, CENTRAL MONTCALM 2 / PORTLAND ST. PATRICK 7, CENTRAL MONTCALM 1
Mason Simon had a double and two RBI and Charlie Thelen also drove in two in Game 1 for the Shamrocks in their nonleague doubleheader sweep. Tyler Thelen and Charlie Thelen each had two hits in Game 2, while Jerryd Scheurer finished with two RBI for Portland St. Patrick.
SOFTBALL
HOLT 4, LAINGSBURG 3 / LAINGSBURG 13, HOLT 0
Harper Strouse went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI in Game 2 while helping the Wolfpack earn a nonleague doubleheader split with Holt. Bella Latuszek added a double and three RBI in the finale for Laingsburg. Eeva Luoma had a double and RBI for Holt in the opener.
