A Powerball ticket in Michigan purchased in Detroit won $1 million in the Monday, Sept. 1 Powerball drawing, according to the Michigan Lottery.
The ticket matched the five white balls — 8, 23, 25, 40 and 53.
The ticket was purchased at the CVS Pharmacy at 18585 E. Warren Ave. in Detroit.
No one won the Powerball jackpot in the Monday drawing, increasing the prize to $1.3 billion ($589 cash value).
The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.4 million and sold in January 2024 at Food Castle in Grand Blanc.
