Poor air quality postpones Lansing Lugnuts’ home game vs. Fort Wayne

The Lansing Lugnuts will have to wait another day to play their first home game since June. The Lugnuts’ scheduled game for Friday, July 17 against Fort Wayne has been postponed due to the poor air quality issues that have plagued Michigan in recent days. The air quality index in Lansing has been above 200 in recent days, which is considered unhealthy. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sept. 2. The Lugnuts’ contest was among the events that have been impacted by the poor air quality. Another Midwest League game scheduled for Friday in the state between the West Michigan Whitecaps and Great Lakes Looks was also postponed due to the conditions.
