MSU basketball moves up in latest AP rankings

Michigan State basketball has moved back inside the top 10 of the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 rankings.

The Spartans moved up two spots in this week’s AP poll to No. 10 in the country. Michigan State had been just outside the top 10 of the rankings for the last two weeks, but now is back inside the top 10.

Michigan State picked up a pair of wins this past week against Indiana and Washington to improve their record to 16-2 overall. The Spartans are also 6-1 in Big Ten play, and will play Oregon and Maryland this upcoming week.

Five teams from the Big Ten are included in this week’s poll, all of which are ranked in the top 11. Michigan leads the way at No. 3, with Purdue (No. 4), Nebraska (No. 7) and Illinois (No. 11) following.
