A new Motz’s Burgers location, famous for its all-beef burgers, milkshakes and fries, is debuting soon. The burger joint, operated by the Milosavljevski family, is opening in the downriver community of Southgate.
The restaurant, famous for its all-beef burgers, milkshakes and fries throughout its 90-plus years in the Detroit area, is opening in a former bakery spot on Eureka Road. It’s in the same complex as Black Pine Sushi.
Mike Milosavljevski said they are remodeling the spot to suit its needs and undergoing cosmetic work, including the installation of retro chairs and tables. An early January opening is planned. This is the third location for the burger spot.
At Motz’s, the burgers are mostly made to order, and menu items like milkshakes are made using locally sourced products.
Motz’s Burgers’ original location is at 7208 W. Fort St., at the corner of Green in southwest Detroit, in a small building across from the Detroit Produce Terminal. A second location, which is now a franchised store, opened at 27010 Plymouth Road in Redford two years ago.
