Tylor J. Tackett, 34, of Monroe is in critical condition after a serious injury traffic crash on East Dunbar Road, east of LaPlaisance Road, in Monroe Township, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported around 12:30 a.m. Monday, May 25.
Tackett was operating a black and gray 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northwest on East Dunbar Road. While negotiating a curve, Tackett lost control and struck the east curb of a private drive, according to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The motorcycle continued forward and struck the west curb of the same drive, causing Tackett to fall from the motorcycle and strike a sign. Both Tackett and the motorcycle came to rest approximately 63 feet northwest of the curbline, according to the news release.
Tackett was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo.
Alcohol is not a factor in the crash, according to the news release.
Members of the Monroe Township Fire Department and Monroe Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Lt. Brian Quinn and deputies Alec Preadmore and Steven Warren of the Traffic Services Division.
