Football players are on the board.
After three soccer players – New Boston Huron’s Ian Petrick and Nolan Ortega of Airport and Bedford’s Cory Gore – won Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week honors for the first three weeks of the season, a football player now wears the crown.
Camden Fairchild of Dundee won in impressive fashion, racking up 11,010 votes for the best showing of the season.
Gibraltar Carlson volleyball player Addison Burgei was second with 7,735 votes. That total would have been best in any of the first three weeks.
Voting begins today for Sept. 22-28.
Polls will remain open until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
The poll is sponsored by ModForce Home Solutions.
