Michigan State football will reportedly host one of the top in-state prospects in the 2027 class for an unofficial visit in early September.
Dewey Young of Kalamazoo, Mich. will reportedly take an unofficial visit to Michigan State for the Boston College game on September 6, according to a report from Allen Trieu of 247Sports. Young — who is an offensive tackle prospect in the 2027 class — also has visits scheduled to Kansas, Penn State and Indiana over the first few weeks of the college football season.
Young is a four-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 92.88 in 247Sports composite system. He is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle and No. 189 overall prospect in the 2027 class. He is also listed as the No. 3 player from Michigan.
Michigan State extended an offer to Young in May, and is one of nearly 15 programs to offer him, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Boston College, Colorado, Florida State, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Miami (OH), Minnesota, Missouri, Purdue, Toledo, West Virginia and Western Michigan.
