It used to be a thing that Michigan football kicked off the season at noon, although sometimes it would be a 3:30 p.m. kick. However, in the past two years, it’s become much more common that the Wolverines start out the season at home with a night game.
It appears that the trend will continue.
Per MLive’s Aaron McMann, it’s been revealed that the September 5 season opener against Western Michigan is set for a 7:30 p.m. EDT kickoff time at Michigan Stadium, with the game set to be broadcast on NBC. Additionally, the Week 3 contest against UTEP will be a 3:30 p.m. EDT broadcast and will air on Big Ten Network.
With the revelation of those two game times, Michigan now has four set kickoff times and channels. Here is the schedule as we currently know it:
