The MHSAA boys and girls track and field regional meets take place between May 15-17. Individuals and teams will compete for a chance to qualify for the state championship meets across all four divisions on May 31.
Here is the full regional schedule for Divisions 1 and 2 for the high school track and field postseason. Individuals can qualify for the state meet for a respective event by meeting one of two qualifying criteria. One is the state qualifier standard at regional meets, which is based on a three-year average of second place at that respective division.
The second, called early qualifiers, is new to 2025, where an athlete meets the set standard for their respective division at a “valid pre-qualified event” during the season. The early qualifiers were added to mitigate the impact of the difference in conditions between regional meets over the three days. The early qualifier standards are stricter than the state qualifier standards at the regional meets.
