After a bout of extreme heat, temperatures in metro Detroit are expected to get back to normal this week.
“Staying in mid-80 degree weather. That’s right where we should be,” said Steve Freitag, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in White Lake.
Freitag said Monday, July 7, will be partly cloudy with a high of 79 degrees, and Tuesday, July 8, will be sunny with temps in the low 80s.
Wednesday will be the main day for showers this week, Freitag said, with temperatures remaining in the mid 80s. Thursday, July 10, and Friday, July 11, will be sunny with temperatures in the upper 80s. Rain showers are expected on Saturday, July 12, with the potential for storms.
“If you have outdoor plans, you may be disappointed,” Freitag said, adding that boaters especially should keep an eye out for Saturday’s forecast.
Sunday, July 13 will be partly cloudy in the high 80s with a chance of rain.
