Saisha Patil has ended a strong debut season of varsity golf by earning a spot on the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association’s top team.
Patil, an Okemos freshman, was one of eight golfers in the state named to the MIGCA’s Super Team. Patil concluded her season by placing third individually at the Division 1 state finals.
Patil was one of two Okemos golfers honored and several from the area recognized as all-state.
Holt sophomore Racheeni Her and Okemos sophomore Anika Srivastava were first team all-state in Division 1. Srivastava placed fifth at the state finals, while Her was 12th. The Division 2 selections included Mason’s Tylar Southwell being named first team and Owosso’s Samantha Ross earning honorable mention recognition.
Williamston junior Paige Radebach and Ionia junior Lila Redder were first team all-state selections in Division 3, while Charlotte’s Peyton Howarth was an honorable mention selection. Radebach was ninth and Redder placed 12th at the state finals.
State runner-up Lansing Catholic had a pair of first team all-state selections in Division 4 in freshman Eryn O’Connell and senior Addi Rule. They were joined on the all-state first team by Bath freshman Addi Duflo and Fowler’s Noelle Krepps. Duflo finished as the individual runner-up in Division 4.
Lansing Catholic’s Anna Robinson and Olivet’s Jocelyn Rolston were honorable mention selections.
