Lions release CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver ahead of 2nd week of training camp

The Detroir Lions have made their first roster subtraction of training camp. On Sunday, an off day for players, the Lions released cornerback Stantley Thomas-Oliver.

Thomas-Oliver was in his second season with the Lions but his first training camp. The young CB was one of many defensive players brought in during an injury-ravaged 2024 season in Detroit.

Thomas-Oliver had primarily been repping with the third-team cornerbacks. He exited Saturday’s practice session after suffering a hamstring injury in coverage.
