Lions predicted to select elite defender in PFF 2027 NFL mock draft

With way-too-early 2027 NFL mock drafts already being created by several NFL experts, Pro Football Focus revealed who they believe the Detroit Lions will take in the first round of next year’s draft.

According to Daire Carragher, the Lions will have the No. 25 overall draft pick, which the franchise is projected to use on cornerback Kelly Jones from Mississippi State.

The Lions added some corner help in this year’s draft, selecting Arizona State cornerback Keith Abney II in the fifth round. That pick has garnered some praise from ESPN’s Matt Miller as the fifth round’s best value pick.

But, the Lions could be back in the market for more corner help next offseason.
