Inspiration-focused playplace now open at Kensington Valley Outlets

“Livingston In Photos,” a series shot by reporter Makayla Coffee, highlights the extra-ordinary happenings of your neighbors.

HOWELL TWP. — Interested in letting your children run loose with creativity? There’s a new space for that inside Kensington Valley Outlets.

For this week’s Livingston in Photos, I earmarked the grand opening of Kaleidoscope Play & Create at 1475 N. Burkhart Road, Suite #D150.

The business prides itself on offering an inclusive, sensory-friendly and creative space for children aged 4-12. There’s everything from sensory tables to an open art studio with rows of paint, markers, brushes, cardboard, colorful paper, yarn and other crafting materials.

There’s also more traditional play options, including a small rock wall, blocks and a pretend house. During the grand opening, some children settled into creation while others tested how quickly they could go down the slide.

Being a single mother to four girls inspired Kahilee Armijo to explore broader options for indoor playplaces, wondering if she could combine the best parts to foster more imaginative and creative play. That idea eventually led to Kaleidoscope.

The business is available for open play, birthday parties or events. Learn more at thekaleidoscopeplay.com.
