HOLLAND – Dylan Becksvoort put together one of the winningest careers in high school tennis.
The Holland Christian senior was 52-16 in his final two years at No. 2 singles, including winning a Division 4 state championship. He finished his four-year varsity career with 92 wins.
“Dylan has quietly had one of the most consistent and successful singles careers ever at Holland Christian,” Holland Christian coach Steve Gorno said. “His relentless year-round commitment to improving his game and his unshakeable competitive mindset helped him achieve arguably his best season as a senior.”
But he isn’t finished, yet.
All of that success led to an opportunity to play college tennis, and Becksvoort committed to play at Hope College.
“I chose Hope for its strong science programs, campus culture, and close location. I will be studying engineering, with either a mechanical or chemical focus,” Becksvoort said. “Tennis has been a fun sport to play throughout high school, and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to continue playing it next year.”
