A set of highly touted twins have made their collegiate hockey decision, and unfortunately for MSU, it will not be in East Lansing.
Liam and Markus Ruck have announced their commitment to North Dakota, where they will join the team in the fall of 2027. The Fighting Hawks beat out Maine, Michigan State, Quinnipiac and Western Michigan for the commitment of the twins.
Both Liam and Markus are 6-foot forwards born in 2008. While Liam shoots from the right side, Markus is a lefty, giving the two some differences. Standouts for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL, the pair are from Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada.
A big win for North Dakota, and a loss for the Spartans that will have Adam Nightingale going back to the drawing board.
