The season of Bliss is here.
Blissfest is an annual folk music festival hosted on a 200-acre farm just outside Cross Village in northern Emmet County. It brings both national and local acts to the Tip of the Mitt, along with workshops, vendors, art and more. This year’s festival is July 11-13.
The 2025 festival is set to bring more than 125 different acts to 11 programming areas throughout the festival grounds, including headliners like Lindsay Lou, Dustbowl Revival, Steve Poltz, Toubab Krewe, Jigjam and Bobby Alu.
Blissfest draws around 5,000 patrons, 1,000 volunteers and more than 75 vendors from throughout the U.S. and Canada, according to the festival website.
People are able to purchase camping tickets to stay on the grounds throughout the weekend, with “quiet hours” in effect from 2-7 a.m., according to the 2025 program.
Along with multiple days of live performances, there will also be various food, art and nonprofit vendors for people to visit, and a multitude of hands-on activities for people to check out. There will be face painting and magic shows in the Kids Area, or they can stop in to the Drum Kiva for a partner dance, open drumming and other interactive fun.
The full schedule of events and activities can be found at blissfest.org/pages/festival-weekend-schedules.
This year marks the 43rd annual festival hosted by the Blissfest Music Organization, which is also a 501c3 nonprofit, year-round organization. The three-day festival is the group’s largest and primary fundraiser.
During the year, the Blissfest Music Organization partners with local organizations to host other educational and music-focused events throughout the region, including Street Musique held weekly in Harbor Springs during summer months and Musicians at the Market, where performances are held at local farmers markets.
