Michigan State baseball is in the process of rebuilding its roster for the 2026 season, and Jake Boss has an absolute star in the incoming recruiting class.
Logan Lacourse committed to Michigan State in 2023 and has been steadfast ever since. Now, in his senior year at Bay City Western High School, Lacourse has been honored as the top player in the state of Michigan.
Lacourse was named Michigan’s Mr. Baseball, while also earning first-team all-state honors. This caps a remarkable four-year run the future Spartan had with Western. He was named to the MHSBCA Dream Team in 2024 and 2025, named all-state in 2024 and 2025, named to the MHSBCA All-Star team this year. He is a finalist for the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year.
Barring his being a high pick in the 2025 MLB draft, Lacourse will be a major player for the Spartans in 2026.
