With roster cuts being made as training camp comes to a close in the NFL, teams are trimming down to 53-man rosters, leaving some out to dry. For former Michigan State players, they are learning their fate with their different franchises.
Over 13 different Spartans made their way past the initial cuts, and one of those was former wide receiver Cody White, who was selected to the Seattle Seahawks 53-man active roster.
After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, White has been a part of six different teams in five years, being cut eight different times, but this time, it was different. This is officially the first time in his career he has made the 53-man roster out of training camp, and he is getting a shot to prove himself at the next level.
Following the news of making the active roster, White went to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to everyone that believed in him along the way:
In his career, White has caught 8 passes for 79 yards, all with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
