Former MSU ace Joseph Dzierwa promoted to Double-A

Joseph Dzierwa was an ace for Michigan State over his three years in East Lansing, and since then, has gotten drafted in the second round of the MLB Draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Now in his first professional season, he is making waves within the Orioles organization.

Dzierwa is now being promoted from High-A Fredrick to the Double-A Chesapeake Baysox.

In eight starts at High-A Fredrick, Dzierwa held a 2.21 ERA and a 0.811 WHIP, striking out 50 in just over 40 innings of work. He will now look to continue climbing the professional ranks in Double-A ball.
