Fire damages St. Clair County Drug Task Force building

Firefighters from multiple departments and St. Clair County Sheriff deputies are at the scene of a fire on Ash Road in Kimball Township.

Kimball Township Fire Chief Edmund Gratz and deputies on scene declined to comment.

Erika Hyrnyk, public information officer for the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, said the building housed the Drug Task Force, including offices, equipment and ammo.

The fire was reported at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by Michigan State Police.
