Michigan State Police in Jackson, about 35 miles west of Ann Arbor, shared that troopers had a visit from a furry friend on Wednesday, July 3, right before a planned cookout, according to the post on X.
A whitetail deer fawn took shelter under the post’s grill, photos shared on X show.
“It appears this little one heard about the post cookout scheduled for this afternoon and decided to stick around in hopes of grabbing a snack,” the post, 3401 Cooper St., shared on X. “The visit was brief, and our young friend soon scampered off with its mom.”
