“Holland In Photos,” a series shot by Sentinel photographer Adam Vander Kooy, highlights the extra-ordinary happenings of your neighbors.
ZEELAND — For this week’s feature, I took a seat inside the Office Outlet in Zeeland, where inventory is always changing.
The Office Outlet launched in 1987 in Grand Rapids before expanding to Zeeland in 2001, where it now offers discounted office and home furniture through MillerKnoll.
Each week, the location receives shipments from the company’s brand (and local namesake) Herman Miller. Items arrive, are inspected and then placed on the floor. Often, sought-after items sell the same day.
“You never really know what you’re going to find,” said owner Justin Cullin.
That includes everything from high-end office chairs to random one-off items. For shoppers, unpredictability is part of the appeal.
The Office Outlet is located at 455 W. Washington Ave. and operates 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturdays.
