Detroit Red Wings 2025 NHL Draft picks: A look at all 9 selections they own

After failing to make the postseason for the ninth consecutive season, the Detroit Red Wings and general manager Steve Yzerman will be back at work for the 2025 NHL Draft on Friday, June 27.

The Red Wings have made the draft their top priority in their rebuild and have had success identifying top prospects in the early rounds under Yzerman, such as Moritz Seider (2019), Lucas Raymond (2020), Simon Edvinsson (2021) and Marco Kasper (2022).

While other parts of the rebuild haven’t come together as successfully, the draft has been a strong suit for Yzerman in his return to the team he was an icon with on the ice for so many years.

This year, the Red Wings will have nine picks in the 2025 NHL Draft, starting with the 13th overall pick in the first round.

Here’s a look at each of the Red Wings’ 2025 draft pick slots and the entire draft order, as of the week of the draft.
