For the third time this year, Jared Goff is coming to Monday Night Football.
Goff is scheduled to appear as a special guest on the “ManningCast” broadcast of tonight’s Kansas City Chiefs-Washington Commanders game.
The Detroit Lions quarterback has played in two Monday night games this year, leading the Lions to wins over the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He ranks second in the NFL in completion percentage (74.9%) and passer rating (116.4) through seven games, and the Lions, coming off a bye, are second in the NFC North at 5-2.
The “ManningCast” is ESPN’s alternative broadcast of Monday Night Football, hosted by brothers Peyton and Eli Manning and produced by Peyton Manning’s production company Omaha Productions.
Goff, who is scheduled to join the show midway through the first half, also starred in season 2 of the Netflix docuseries “Quarterback,” which is produced by Omaha.
In a social media preview of the show, Goff named both Mannings among his top 10 quarterbacks of all time.
On the “ManningCast,” the Manning brothers provide game analysis while interviewing guests across sports and entertainment. For the Lions-Ravens game this year, they were joined by Michigan-born actor Jeff Daniels, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones and 23-time gold medal swimmer Michael Phelps, a native of Baltimore.
There was no “ManningCast” broadcast of the Lions’ Week 7 win over the Buccaneers, when there were two Monday night games.
The Lions lost to the Chiefs earlier this month, 30-17, and visit the Commanders in two weeks.
