The Detroit Lions schedule for 2025 sees the reigning NFC North champions facing a formidable slate of foes. This year’s games include a divisional kickoff in Week 1 in Green Bay, with the rematch with the Packers on Thanksgiving in Detroit.
The Lions will also play on Christmas day, one of a few non-traditional kickoffs on the 2025 slate of 17 games.
Week 1: at Green Bay Packers
The Lions open at the Packers on Sunday, September 7th at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.
Week 2: Chicago Bears
Ben Johnson returns to Ford Field with his Bears team for a divisional matchup on CBS at 1 p.m. ET on September 14th.
Week 3: at Baltimore Ravens
It’s back on the road to Maryland to face perennial MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. September 22nd. It’s a Monday Night Football game on ESPN/ABC.
Week 4: Cleveland Browns
The battle for Lake Erie supremacy goes down on FOX at Ford Field against the Browns at 1 p.m. on September 28th.
Week 5: at Cincinnati Bengals
The Lions go south on I-75 to play the Bengals on Sunday, October 5th for a 4:25 p.m. start on FOX.
Week 6: at Kansas City Chiefs
The Lions visit the reigning AFC champions on Sunday Night Football, airing on NBC at 8 p.m. on October 12th.
Week 7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Monday Night Football comes to Ford Field as the Lions host the reigning NFC South champs, the Buccaneers. Airing on ESPN and ABC on October 20th.
Week 8: Bye week
Week 9: Minnesota Vikings
Returning from the bye week, the Lions host the Vikings at 1 p.m. ET in Ford Field on FOX on November 2nd.
Week 10: at Washington Commanders
It’s a playoff rematch with a trip to Washington in a late-afternoon feature game on FOX.
Week 11: at Philadelphia Eagles
Detroit heads to Philadelphia to play the reigning Super Bowl champs in a Sunday Night Football game on NBC on November 16th.
Week 12: New York Giants
The Giants make the trip to Detroit to play the Lions on November 23rd at 1 p.m. on FOX.
Week 13: Green Bay Packers
Thanksgiving brings the Packers to Ford Field for the annual kickoff game on November 27th. This year’s start time is at 1 p.m. on FOX
Week 14: Dallas Cowboys
A week after both teams host Thanksgiving games, the Lions host the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football on Prime on December 4th.
Week 15: at Los Angeles Rams
On December 14th, the Lions pay a visit to SoFi Stadium and old friend Matthew Stafford in a FOX broadcast, starting at 4:25 ET.
Week 16: Pittsburgh Steelers
Detroit welcomes the Steelers to Ford Field on the first day of winter, December 21st, in a 4:25 p.m. kickoff on CBS.
Week 17: at Minnesota Vikings
The Lions will play at Minnesota on Christmas Day, December 25. The game will air on Netflix.
Week 18: at Chicago Bears
Detroit ends the regular season with a trip to Soldier Field to play the Bears. Time tbd on January 4th.
