Who went home on “Big Brother” on Thursday?
Read on for results of the season’s first elimination episode.
Block party
Ashley, Taylor and Yash were on the block, and early word was that Ashley — who ate the first hamburger of her life while in the “Big Brother” house — would be the one packing her bags. But anything can happen in the “Big Brother” house, and individuals were scrambling to shore up alliances before the vote, and before one of the nominees came down off the block due to the BB Block Buster.
Angela’s paranoia
Angela was worried when she saw Rome calling people in secret to meet in the weight room. “If you’re not talking game with me,” Angela reasoned, “I know you’re talking game against me.” Indeed, Rome was building an army, albeit a small one: He formed an allience, Mama’s Angels, with La Trice and Jason. But the secrecy of everything was driving Angela nuts. “If I have to stir the pot to weaken Rome’s army, I’m gonna do it,” she said. And she started having conversations and building numbers around the house, and all of a sudden it was looking like Ashley might have the numbers to stay. Or maybe it was just one of those classic “Big Brother” editing twists to make the eventual vote look more interesting than it was shaping up to be. Hard to say!
Bust the Block
Ashey, Taylor and Yash competed in the season’s first BB Block Buster competition, with safety from elimination on the line, in a contest where they were asked to analyze various pictures of the cast and count who appeared in them the most. Yash was the only one to get the answer correct, buying himself safety from going home, and leaving the vote to Ashley and Taylor.
Who was voted out?
In her speech to the houseguests, Ashley essentially said she wanted to keep, like, hanging out in the house, y’know? “Do what’s best for your game, and I hope it’s me!” she said. Well, it wasn’t her, and she was sent packing by a 14-0 vote. Now she’s free to eat all the hamburgers she wants, just not in the “Big Brother” house. May we suggest Jack in the Box?
Last words from the first evictee
“I was scrambling in there,” Ashey said, speaking to Julie Chen Moonves in her exit interview. “I totally thought I was being saved… I think ultimately, they just changed their minds. I don’t know, I really don’t know what happened, I can’t wait to watch back.” Moonves was her usual comforting self: “Well, someone has to be first,” she told her. And that’s a wrap on the first week of “Big Brother.”
Who won HOH?
We don’t know, the competition hadn’t started by the end of the episode. Find out Sunday!
