Danhausen, homegrown WWE star, to meet and greet fans ahead of 'Raw'

He’s very nice, very evil, and he’s coming home.

Danhausen, the WWE Superstar who was born and raised in Metro Detroit, is due at Little Caesars Arena on Monday when WWE presents its “Monday Night Raw” program at Little Caesars Arena.

It will be the first hometown WWE appearance for the wrestler, born Donovan Danhausen, since he joined the company in February.

Prior to the LCA event, Danhausen will be on hand at the Cricket Wireless in Center Line, located at 25313 Van Dyke Ave, to meet and greet fans. The Cricket Wireless location is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the pro wrestling school where Danhausen trained and learned the ropes, so to speak, of professional wrestling.

The appearance is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to line up early, as entry is not guaranteed, and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

On-site registration is required, and in the fine print of the event’s advertising, a note says the Superstar is subject to change. So just like a Danhausen curse, you never know quite what you’re going to get.

Danhausen, 35, was raised in Warren and graduated from Lincoln High School — also Eminem’s high school, for the record — and he worked the independent wrestling circuit before linking up with All Elite Wrestling in 2022. He made his WWE debut at the Elimination Chamber event in Chicago on Feb. 28.

Since then his star has exploded, and he’s become one of WWE’s top merchandise sellers.

He has additionally become a full-fledged media personality, and his comical “curses,” in which he hexes opponents or others in his sphere, have taken on a life of their own. The curse he placed on the New York Knicks’ opponents in this year’s NBA playoffs became a storyline as the Knicks rode to their first NBA championship since 1973.

Danhausen will be on hand at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday when the building hosts “Saturday Night’s Main Event,” which will stream beginning at 8 p.m. on Peacock.
