RAISINVILLE TOWNSHIP — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Tuesday, May 13 in Raisinville Township.
Preliminary investigation showed that Hunter Boyd, 28, of Tecumseh was eastbound in a 2015 Ford Focus on South Custer Road when, for an unknown reason, the car crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2024 Toyota Sienna about 2:48 p.m.
The Sienna was being driven by Norma Hacker, 50, of Brooklyn. Hacker was accompanied by a passenger in the front seat, Gwenyth Ebbert, 25, also from Brooklyn.
Boyd was pronounced dead on the scene. Hacker and Ebbert were both transported to Toledo ProMedica Hospital and were listed in serious and critical condition, respectively.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors.
Members of the Monroe Township Fire Department, Ida Township Fire Department, MonroeCommunity Ambulance, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Chaplin Program, and Monroe County Sheriff’sOffice Victim Services assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation; anybody with information is asked to call 734-240-7548.
