The high school volleyball season is in full swing across Michigan.
Just over a month removed from the beginning of the season, we’ve learned a lot about which teams will be the top competitors come playoff time. The Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association has released three lists of rankings, with the most recent released on Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Rockford currently is the top-ranked team in Division 1, followed by Forest Hills Northern, Marian, Bloomfield Hills and Mercy. Detroit Country Day is the No. 1 team in D2, Roscommon leads the D3 poll and Fowler is the top-ranked team in Division 4.
Here are the full rankings as of Sept. 1:
Divison 1
Honorable mentions: Lowell, Northville, South Lyon East, Hudsonville, Mattawan, Byron Center, Lake Orion, Caledonia, Novi
Division 2
Honorable mentions: Garber, Harper Creek, Ionia, ND Prep, Marshall, Lakewood, West Catholic, GR Catholic Central
Division 3
Honorable mentions: Cass City, Calumet, Bronson
Division 4
Honorable mentions: Lenewee Christian, Hancock
