The Cheboygan Chiefs will get a home match to open their girls soccer postseason.
Following the MHSAA’s release of postseason pairings for soccer teams across Michigan, the Chiefs will host Northern Shores Conference rival Grayling in a 5 p.m. Division 3 playoff clash on Thursday, May 21.
If the Chiefs beat the Vikings, they will face the Kingsford-Kalkaska winner in a district semifinal matchup at a site and time to be determined, as the district is a non-traditional bracket.
On the other side of the bracket is a first-round contest between Boyne City and Houghton, who will battle in Houghton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. That winner will take on Traverse City St. Francis in a district semifinal at a location and time to be determined.
The district final will take place at 6 p.m. in a location to be determined.
