CHEBOYGAN – Inland Lakes senior thrower Jack Wilson has been voted the top Cheboygan-area high school boys track and field athlete for the 2025 season.
In a poll that opened Tuesday morning and closed on Thursday night, Wilson collected 52.63 percent of the vote. Cheboygan senior thrower Lucas Sidlauskas was second with 16.37 percent.
Here were the nominees:
Lucas Sidlauskas, Cheboygan – Earned Division 3 all-state honors in the shot put and discus, while also capturing regional titles in both events.
Zander Robinson, Inland Lakes – A state qualifier who captured regional and Ski Valley titles in the pole vault. He also had a strong season in the high jump.
Alyx Willis, Inland Lakes – A leader for the Bulldogs in the sprints and relays, Willis helped the Bulldogs earn a Ski Valley title in the 4X200 relay.
Jack Wilson, Inland Lakes – Qualified for the state finals in the shot put and was consistently a top performer for Inland Lakes in both throwing events.
Levi Rigot, Onaway – One of the best throwers in recent Onaway memory, Rigot was a state qualifier in the shot put during his senior season.
Brach Taylor, Pellston – Had a strong senior season for the Hornets in the hurdling events.
