Fans were passionate about Monroe County Region Athlete of the Week Best of the Winter voting.
A phenomenal total of 70,907 votes were cast.

Most of the went to two girls.
Milan bowler Maggie Smith had her name clicked 37,026 times while Jefferson girls basketball player Alivia LeBrun drew 31,467 votes.
Dundee girls basketball player Maddie Salenbien was a distant third with 1,267 votes.
With spring break over, the Athlete of the Week poll gets back to normal with the third poll of the spring.
You can now cast your vote for the April 6-12 winner.
Polling will continue through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15.
Here are this week’s candidates in alphabetical order:
Zamir Austin, Monroe track and field: Hit personal bests of 6-3 in the high jump and 20-2 to win both events at the Allen Park Relays.
Noah Banas, New Boston Huron baseball: Included a home run and two doubles among four hits against Grosse Pointe University Liggett.
Jason Bryant, Bedford baseball: Went 4-for-4 in a victory over Plymouth.
Maddi Duke, Bedford track and field: Won the 800 meters and ran on the winning distance medley relay at the Whitmer Invitational.
Levi Evans, Dundee boys golf: Eagled the final hole to take medalist honors at the Larry Murdock Invitational.
Drake Ferris, Airport baseball: Tossed a 1-hit shutout as Airport opened the Huron League with a win over Milan.
Max Flint, SMCC boys lacrosse: Scored four goals Tuesday to help the Falcons earn their first win of the season.
Carmen Flatt, Monroe girls soccer: Scored five or her team’s six goals in a victory over Bedford.
Mckenzie Heath, Dundee girls track and field: Part of four winning relays to help her team win the Whitmore Lake Relays.
Julia Hughes, Ida girls Ida track and field: Won the high hurdles with a school-record time of :15.04 and also won the low hurdles and ran on two winning relays.
Hayden Iott, Summerfield softball: Provided three hits in each game of a doubleheader sweep of Dundee
Tori Kimberly, Milan girls track and field: Broke the school record in the pole vault by clearing 7-2 during win over Flat Rock, then broke it again at 7-6 in the Fowlerville Invitational.
Emilee Konkus, Gibraltar Carlson softball: Tripled home the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning against Tecumseh.
Lukas Linzell, SMCC baseball: Went 4-for-4 Friday against Thursday against Flat Rock and added two more hits Saturday against Ida.
Zaylee Richard, Monroe softball: Smacked two home runs among her four hits in a sweep of Adrian Madison.
Miley Skamiera, New Boston Huron girls soccer: Scored four goals Wednesday and five on Friday giving her 18 in the first four games this season.
Zoie Stubleski, Erie Mason softball: Rang up six hits, drove in five runs and tossed a no-hitter in a sweep of Britton Deerfield.
Olivia Tilley, Airport softball: Reached 200 career hits by going 3-for-3 Saturday against Clinton after going 4-for-4 against New Boston Huron.
