This week’s nominees are…
Mariah Wright, Plymouth Christian Academy: Set two program records by hitting two home runs and driving in seven runs in a single softball game.
Ian Evert, Birmingham Seaholm: Scored two runs, collected two hits and drove in two runs during a 14-11 comeback win against Grosse Pointe North in baseball. Also had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs during an 8-1 win over rival Birmingham Groves.
Alyssa Goldman, White Lake Lakeland: Recorded her 100th career hit in softball.
Caleb Garrett, Birmingham United: Scored one goal during a 13-3 loss to Cranbrook in boys lacrosse.
Jacob Belliston, Milford: Set a school record by clearing 13 feet, 7 inches in the pole vault during a track and field meet at Walled Lake Central.
Erin Torok, Salem: Drove in the winning run during a 4-0 win over Northville in softball.
Kennedi Adams, Northville: Drove in the winning run with a line drive past second base to help the Mustangs beat Sale 3-0 in softball.
Ben Lievense, Salem: Cleared 15 feet during the St. Francis Relays track and field meet to break the school record in the pole vault that had stood since 1979.
Ashton Higham, Livonia Stevenson: Recently was the individual runner-up during a two-day invitational at The Nightmare/The Dream with a score of 148 while also winning the Embers Varsity tournament with a 1-under 70.
