A bicyclist was killed following a crash with a semi-truck on Nov. 14 in Blendon Township.
Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched after reports that a semi-truck struck a bicyclist at the intersection of 72nd Avenue and Barry Street.
Investigation showed a 54-year-old Allendale man was riding his bicycle on 72nd Avenue when he attempted to turn east onto Barry Street. As he turned, he was struck by the southbound semi-truck, driven by a 78-year-old Kent City resident.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
