Clinton extended its lead to 20-0 with 3 minutes left in the half thanks to a Gradyn Whelan quarterback keeper.

The second half was more Redwolves domination, starting with a Jake Halchishak touchdown, followed by a score through the air as Whelan found Dacari Garrison for the touchdown, pushing the lead to 42-0 with 7:42 left in the game. Clinton went on to add a field goal thanks to the golden leg of Speth, finding the final score of 45-0.

Clinton improves to 4-1 on the season and will continue their playoff push next Friday when they travel to Hillsdale.

Onsted meanwhile falls to 1-4 and will look to get back on the winning track at Blissfield.

Adrian 3, Lincoln 0

ADRIAN – It took nearly 48 minutes to decide a winner Friday night, but Adrian’s Zach Hassan got the only points of the night on a last-second field goal, giving the Maples a win over the Railsplitters, the seventh-ranked team in Division 2.

It was not the cleanest of games for either team, as Adrian recovered an early Lincoln fumble in the first quarter, only to turn the ball over back to Lincoln on a 48-yard missed field goal.

Adrian dug deep and drove the field over the final two minutes however to get into field goal range, and it was Hassan driving home the kick to give the Maples a dramatic victory.

Adrian (4-1) will host Tecumseh next Friday for a Lenawee County battle. Lincoln (4-1) is at Pinckney.

Tecumseh 34, Jackson 14

JACKSON – Tecumseh improved to 3-2 with a road victory.

The game was statistically even, with Jackson out rushing Tecumseh 272-236 while the Indians controlled the air 114-70.

Both teams took their first drives for a score, with Tecumseh starting things off with a 7-play, 91-yard drive that culminated in a 55-yard touchdown pass from Chance Gormley to Jeremy Bennett, giving the Indians the early 6-0 lead after the extra point was blocked.

Jackson countered with a grinding 18-play, 80-yard drive and 1-yard touchdown run by Jaiden Ramirez. Kenyon Dunklin scored the 2-point conversion, making it 8-6 for Jackson.

Tecumseh’s next drive went 77 yards in 14 plays, scoring on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Gormley to Connor Bullinger. Jackson retook the lead early in the second quarter thanks to a 30-yard touchdown pass from Kylin Davis to Qwynton Rawls, pushing the Vikings ahead 14-12.

Tecumseh’s defense took over from there. The offense meanwhile found the end zone twice, scoring on a pair of Gormley touchdown runs of 7-yards and 3-yards.

The Indians’ defense even got in on the action, as a Kylin Davis pass was picked off by Logan Ware who ran the ball in from 44-yards out to help pad the Tecumseh lead.
