Mainstreet Memories Car Show Returns To The Streets Of Downtown Port Huron

By Mainstreet Memories

Mainstreet Memories Car Show, LLC, in collaboration with the Downtown Development
Authority (DDA), is excited to announce the return of the beloved Mainstreet Memories Car
Show to Huron Avenue and Military Street on July 26, 2025. Show cars and vendors will line
the 1-Mile stretch from Glenwood to Griswold once again. “This event could not have
happened without the development of partnerships with local organizations to bring it back
downtown,” said Ron Steward, President. “We are collaborating with the City of Port Huron,
the Downtown Development Authority, the Blue Water Convention and Visitor Bureau, the
Blue Water Area Chamber of Commerce, and McMorran Plaza. Together, we are working to
grow this event into something that the entire community can enjoy.”

Discussions regarding the return of the show downtown began after the various groups
hosted the Back to the Bricks Promo Tour in June of 2024. “When we saw cars lined up on
the streets again and the excitement downtown, we realized we needed to bring it back to
Mainstreet,” stated Tim Floyd, Vice President. “We are excited to say that local support for
this initiative has never been stronger.”

The long-term plan is to transform the event into a weekend celebration, and with the
additional support we have received, we believe this is achievable. This year’s schedule
includes open cruising on Friday night, along with a concert at McMorran Plaza. We are
also working on an area where a limited number of show cars can park around the plaza.

Lisa DeLong, the new Director of the Port Huron DDA stated, “I am incredibly excited to
support and collaborate with event organizers, business owners, and the community to
ensure the success of this cherished event and to see the streets come alive.”

The show will take place the last Saturday in July from 2 PM to 8 PM, with parking beginning
at noon. There will be a concert at McMorran Plaza, featuring a guest band starting at 5 PM
and the headliner at 8 PM. (The bands are yet to be determined.)

We are also exploring opportunities for other community organizations to participate, such
as the Council on Aging, the YMCA, and the Lions Club. If your organization is interested in
being part of this event, please contact us at mainstreetmemoriesph@gmail.com.”
