Fremont Ross, Port Clinton, Oak Harbor, Woodmore, Bellevue and Margaretta each earned a victory to open the football season.
Here are a few outstanding performances from Week 1.
Mason Kromer returned a pair of interceptions to the opponent’s 2-yard line in Margaretta’s victory over Mohawk.
Micah Miller rushed for 167 yards on seven carries, including touchdowns covering 94, 46, eight and two yards in Oak Harbor’s win over Huron.
Ike Brown threw a touchown pass, rushed for a score and intercepted a throw in Bellevue’s victory over Clyde.
Lucas Caldwell rushed for 102 yards on 12 tries, including scoring runs of four and three yards in Woodmore’s win over New London.
Zacarius Burel returned a kickoff 83 yards for the go-ahead touchdown in Ross’ victory over Tiffin Columbian.
Reece Walby rushed for 253 yards on 16 carries, including touchdowns covering 91, 23 and one yard in Gibsonburg’s setback to Seneca East.
Beckett Mizener ran in from 10 and one yard in Port Clinton’s win over Norwalk St. Paul.
