One lucky Powerball winner is still out there after no one took the grand prize in the Aug. 8 drawing.
The jackpot, now an estimated $905 million and firmly in record-breaking territory for Powerball history, has continued to climb after weeks of no grand prize winner. It is the largest jackpot of the year and currently sits at the eighth-largest of all time.
While no one won the grand prize Saturday night, there were still a few lucky lottery winners.
A ticket sold in Texas matched all five white balls and included the Power Play option to win $2 million. Four other tickets – sold in Arizona, Florida, Michigan and New York – each won $1 million by matching the five white numbers.
To win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls and the Powerball. Winners also have the option of choosing the cash value instead of annual payments.

The winning Powerball numbers for the Aug. 8 drawing were 5, 9, 35, 54 and 63, and the Powerball was 7. The Power Play was 3x.

Tickets can be purchased at gas stations, convenience stores and grocery stores. Cutoff times vary by state and retailer.
Ohio residents can also buy tickets online through the Ohio Lottery website.
What do Powerball tickets cost?
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play. Players can add Power Play for an additional $1 to multiply non-jackpot prizes. Adding Double Play for another $1 gives players a second chance to win up to $10 million.
How to play Powerball
Players choose five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls and one number between 1 and 26 for the red Powerball. They can select the numbers themselves or use the Quick Pick option for randomly generated numbers.
The Powerball jackpot continues to grow until someone wins by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball.
Jackpot winners can choose between an annuity paid over 30 years or a lump-sum cash option. Prize amounts are subject to federal, state and local taxes.
