One of the biggest recruiting decisions in the history of Ohio State football is almost upon us. Five-star-plus running back David Gabriel Georges will make his decision between the Buckeyes, Tennessee, and Ole Miss very soon. While OSU has put together yet another top-tier class, a commitment from Gabriel Georges is seen as the most important. Maybe the most important since Jeremiah Smith committed three years ago.
The nation will find out where the No. 2-rated running back will play his college ball on Wednesday, July 22. We now know when that announcement will be made. Buckeye Nation, set a reminder on your smartphones for 5:30 p.m. ET next Wednesday. Fans can tune in live to the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel to see which hat Gabriel Georges will select.
Most experts have given the nod in favor of the Scarlet and Gray, but there are a few who feel that the Volunteers have done enough to keep the in-state product home. It has created quite the stir on social media as keyboard warriors from each fan base have kept a steady barrage of shots fired at one another.
Gabriel Georges has kept it all close to the vest, even recently being quoted as saying he is still weighing his options and has not made a decision yet. One thing is for sure: fans from both sides will be on the edge of their seats next Wednesday, and we’ll have reaction regardless of which team he selects. Stay tuned. This one is going to come down to the wire.
