Police are investigating after two people were found dead inside a vehicle at an apartment complex in Gates over the weekend.

Gates police officers responded around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 11, to Gateway Landing Apartments on Canal Landing Boulevard for a reported suspicious incident, according to Gates Police Chief Rob Long.
Officers found two adults dead inside a vehicle, Long said.
The apartment complex is located just north of the Erie Canal and west of Route 390 near the Lexington Avenue exit.
Investigation ongoing
The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office has not determined the cause of death, Long said.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Additional information was not immediately available.
