The Finger Lakes has a new dining option.
Rasa Hot Chicken & Grill recently opened on Main Street in Burdett, offering two main categories of food — Nashville-style hot chicken and New York City Mediterranean Grill.
Farooq Abbas, founder and owner of Rasa Hot Chicken & Grill, said the restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week at its new location at 3815 Main St. in Burdett.
The new eatery is quickly building a customer base.
“We have been really well received by the community,” Abbas said. “Ever since we started working on the space, so many people have stopped by or reached out to ask about our official opening date.
“The excitement and warm welcome we are already getting from our neighbors means the world to us. We love that and we are excited to serve customers.”
Abbas said major renovations were made to the Main Street site, which formerly housed Hungry Burd and Smok’n Bones BBQ, to elevate the space. The walls feature a mix of unique, attention-grabbing artwork.
“We worked hard to build something special,” Abbas said. “Customers deserve the absolute best experience and the crispiest, hottest chicken.”
Abbas said everything at Rasa Hot Chicken & Grill is made fresh to order for dine in, take out or catering.
Rasa Hot Chicken & Grill offers chicken sliders, chicken, lamb and fish platters, hot chicken tenders, gyros, wings, cheeseburgers, seafood, salad, loaded fries, Mediterranean platters, desserts, drinks and much more.
Pick your heat to suit your tastes, with the moon dust, nebula, solar flare and galactic options increasing in intensity. “Grilled to thrill, fried to fire,” reads a statement above the menu.
The restaurant will be closed from 1-2:30 p.m. each Friday to observe a Friday prayer.
