Indiana Fever reveal Caitlin Clark’s injury status for back-to-back

As tipoff for Indiana’s (12-8) Wednesday night clash against the Los Angeles Sparks (8-11) nears, the Fever revealed updates to its gameday injury report and provided clarity on how it will handle the star point guard’s availability for Thursday’s game in Phoenix.

According to the team’s updated injury report, Clark is listed as active for tonight’s game after missing the previous two contests with a back injury. However, head coach Stephanie White explained that the team will be using a very cautious strategy for the former Hawkeye as the Fever play the second half of a back-to-back tomorrow night against the Phoenix Mercury

According to White, Clark will play on a minute restriction tonight against the Sparks, but will sit tomorrow night against the Mercury.

While fans may be displeased with the decision to rule out the now three-time WNBA All-Star for the fourth game of the year, it aligns with the organization’s plan to ensure that Clark is at full health and can maintain long-term availability.

The Fever and Sparks will tip off at 9 p.m. CT, with the game televised nationally on USA Network.
