Cuyahoga Falls opens cooling center for heat wave

Cuyahoga Falls plans to open its Natatorium as a cooling center.

Residents needing a place to stay cool amid the dangerous heat wave can visit the Natatorium beginning Tuesday, June 30, through Friday, July 3.

Greater Akron remains under an Extreme Heat Warning through 8 p.m. July 2 with temperatures in the upper 90s in the forecast.

Residents must first check-in at the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department, 2310 Second St.

The police department entrance is near the Oakwood Drive intersection.
