It’s safe to say Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard has certainly enjoyed his offseason.
Here at the end of June, the Badgers’ class of 2027 is shaping up to be one of the most touted in recent memory. Four-star shooting guards Jalen Brown and Baboucarr Ann, in addition to three-star center Jack Thelen, have all offered their pledges to Gard’s program.
Sure, Ann is considered the No. 1 prospect in Minnesota, but On3/Rivals considers Brown the No. 66 player in the nation, No. 15 shooting guard, and No. 5 player in all of Wisconsin.
So, what did Brown average during his time at Wauwatosa West High School? Like On3/Rivals, both 247Sports and ESPN peg the combo guard as a four-star recruit. This product reflects the hype.
During his 2025-26 season with the Trojans, Brown averaged 20.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 2.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. He did so off 46.3% from the field, 37.6% from deep, and 75.1% from the charity stripe.
Brown’s scoring knack makes him arguably the most talented recruit to ever commit to Wisconsin during the Greg Gard era. If his numbers translate to the collegiate level, he will have an opportunity to back that up.
